Sixteen micro product seminars covering Glenair Signature interconnect technologies. Each seminar is about 10 minutes in length and presents the essential technical details, together with an overview of available design-in resources.

The micro-seminars and their current viewing status, either "available now for on-demand viewing" or "still in the works," with a scheduled release date.

1.		Hold-Down and Release Mechanisms for Non-Pyrotechnic Release of Satellites and Appendages Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing High-reliability, non-explosive separation nuts and hold-down and release mechanisms are used for dependable stowage and release of deployable space systems. Supplied in various formats, these devices are optimized for foolproof reliability with built-in mechanical and electrical redundancy.
2.		TurboFlex® Ultra-Flexible Power Cable with High-Durability Duralectric™ Jacketing Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing TurboFlex® power distribution cables with Duralectric jacketing are constructed from high-strand-count rope-lay inner conductors made with tin-, nickel- and silver-plated wire. These highly-flexible rope-lay cables, combined with Glenair high-performance Duralectric jacketing result in assemblies ideally suited for applications where flexibility, durability, and weight reduction are required.
3.		Braided Metallic Wire and Cable Shielding for EMI/RFI Aerospace Applications Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing Metal braided sleeving and tubular expandable braided cable shielding is used primarily in the electrical wire interconnect industry to prevent electrostatic and electromagnetic interference from grounding to interconnect wiring and potentially impacting electronic equipment performance. Glenair ArmorLite and AmberStrand microfilament braided shielding provides superior optical coverage and reduces the weight of interconnect cabling.
4.		Swing-Arm Articulating Three-in-One Strain Relief / EMI Backshells: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Composite Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing The Glenair articulating three-in-one Swing-Arm^® strain relief backshell is an innovative cable clamp with EMI / RFI cable shield termination options for a wide range of EWIS applications. This unique backshell has become a standard shield termination device for both military and commercial airframe applications. Made from temperature-tolerant composite thermoplastic, precision-machined aluminum alloy, or rugged, temperature-tolerant stainless steel, the Swing-Arm^® backshell offers easy installation, long-term performance, and outstanding weight and SKU reduction.
5.		El Ochito High-Speed Octaxial Contacts for Ethernet, SuperSpeed USB, HDMI, and Other Datalink Protocols Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing High-speed, harsh-environment El Ochito octaxial contacts save size and weight in aircraft avionics, weapons systems, satellites, radars, and communications equipment. These are high-speed shielded contacts with signal integrity optimized for Ethernet, SuperSpeed USB, HDMI, and other high-speed datalink protocols.
6.		SuperNine "Better than QPL" MIL-DTL-38999 Series III Connector: High-Speed, Space, Fiber, Filter, Hermetic Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing Glenair has developed a "better than QPL" derivative of the 38999 Series III that offers superior durability, improved resistance to vibration and shock, as well as more robust EMI shielding. The list of other improvements includes integrated banding porches, tighter-tolerance mating in fiber optic versions, ultra-lightweight hermetic connector configurations, special sealed PCB derivatives, high-density and hybrid high-speed configurations, and more.
7.		EMI / EMP Filter Connectors for Mission-Critical Military / Defense and Aerospace Applications Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing Glenair manufactures a full range of filter connectors for use in EMI/EMP management of electronic systems and interconnect cabling. Planar filter capacitor arrays and TVS diodes are integrated into popular mil-spec and Glenair Signature connectors. Glenair is the only supplier of both build-to-spec as well as standard catalog filter connector solutions for the complete range of currently specified military aerospace circular and rectangular connectors.
8.		Series ITS 921 and Series 970 PowerTrip High-Temperature, High-Ampacity Power Connectors Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing Glenair has a long history of supplying rugged reverse-bayonet connectors designed around MIL-DTL-5015 insert arrangements and performance specifications. Today's high-performance military/defense and aerospace markets, however, require higher-performance derivatives of these versatile power and signal connectors.
9.		STAR-PAN Soldier Hubs and Cables Powering C4ISR Mission Success Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing In this micro-seminar we look at some of the major developments in connectivity and networking for solider systems. In particular, we examine the role played by power / data hubs and their interconnecting cable sets as a turnkey integration platform for soldier radios and other C4ISR devices.
10.		Hermetic Seal Connectors with Glass-to-Metal or Lightweight Encapsulant-to-Metal Sealing Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing Hermetic seal connectors are used to resolve potential gas, moisture, and particle ingress problems in high-altitude and vacuum barrier applications. Hermetic seal connectors produce a condition commonly referred to as "airtightness," and are fabricated via a glass-to-metal sealing process, or lighter weight encapsulant-to-metal sealing. Both technologies deliver outstanding sealing performance for high-reliability applications.
11.		High-Performance Wire Harness, Flex, and Complex Cable Assemblies for Air, Sea, and Space Applications Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing Interconnect Wire Harness and Cable Assemblies are the connectivity backbone of electronic systems. Fabricated in a controlled factory setting, build-to-print wire harness assemblies enable large system manufacturers, for example producers of large commercial aircraft, to reduce the time and expense of on-site point-to-point cabling of electronic devices, sensors, and power supplies used in complex air, sea, land and space applications.
12.		Crimp-Contact Micro Rectangular Connectors and Accessories for High-Speed, High-Density Applications Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing The Series 79 Micro-Crimp family of rectangular connectors is a high-performance replacement choice for legacy M24308 D-Sub connectors. The Series 79 features crimp, rear-release size #23 contacts on .075 inch (1.9 mm) spacing. Next-generation Series 791 adds dual-lobe polarization, scoop-proof shells, and integrated EMI grounding fingers. Series 792 is purpose-designed for 10G Ethernet, USB 3.0, HDMI, SATA, and DisplayPort high-speed applications.
13.		Ruggedized MT Ferrule Fiber Optic Interconnects with Mil-Grade Connector Packaging Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing This micro-seminar focuses on ruggedized, ultra high-density MT ferrule fiber optics packaged in Glenair Signature SuperNine^® and Series 79 aerospace-grade connectors. The Glenair MT solution delivers precise, rugged alignment and optical performance of these otherwise commercial-grade fiber optic modules, bringing outstanding density, as well as size and weight reduction to mil-aero fiber optic applications.
14.		Series 806 Mil-Aero: the New Standard in Micro Miniature Circular Connectors for Harsh Applications Status: Available Now for On-Demand Viewing The Series 806 Mil-Aero is a high-density, high-performance micro miniature circular ideally suited for harsh military and aerospace applications. The innovative design meets key performance benchmarks for harsh vibration and shock, as well as for aggressive voltage ratings and altitude immersion standards — absolutely meeting and in some cases exceeding MIL-DTL-38999 Series III performance.
