Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) are incorporated into avionic racks in commercial and military aircraft. Installation and maintenance of avionic equipment is facilitated through the use of rack-and-panel connectors which mate and demate without the use of mechanical coupling. On the cable side, these rack-and-panel connectors are equipped with backshell accessories to address common environmental, electrical, and mechanical stress problems which can damage cables and cable-to-connector terminations. Glenair supplies the complete range of DPX / AS81659 (ARINC 404) connector accessories and backshells for cable strain relief, environmental sealing, and EMI/RFI shield termination.
