Next-Generation 10-Amp Universal Power Port STAR-PAN USB 3.2 Hubs, Cables, and Power Management Systems
The Glenair STAR-PAN NG ecosystem introduces several capability upgrades developed in direct response to feedback from JTACs, special operations forces, and mission commanders. These innovations deliver higher current capacity, more versatile power inputs, and real-time plug-and-play USB integration. Key hub and cable upgrades include:
- High-Capacity Connectors: A new 10A per-pin push-pull power connector that fits the exact dimensions of the original 5A Series 807 NATO STANAG 4695. It features a retractable pin (#7) to maintain backward compatibility with legacy devices.
- Universal Power Ports (UPP): Replacing the rigid, dedicated battery, radio, and auxiliary ports of previous generations, these interchangeable ports accept any input or output format. They support higher voltage inputs while delivering managed 5V output to connected devices.
- Advanced USB-C Host Port: Offers native USB-C negotiation and standard-compliant power pin assignments that are backward-compatible with previous USB iterations. The redesigned host port and internal circuit board also support daisy-chaining multiple EUD devices for power input.
- Upgraded Data Standards: Supports the USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) standard. This higher data rate is fully integrated into the boards and interconnect interfaces of the new 10-port STAR-PAN X Base Station vehicle/soldier hub.
