NFF 61030 Qualified Connectors
The Glenair Commital ITH connector series is based on the MIL-C-5015 standard, but features an improved reverse bayonet coupling technology in place of the threaded coupling used in MIL-C-5015. The ITH Series is also notable for its rigid inserts and crimp contacts that provide both better electrical insulation as well as reduced assembly time. The connector also features a 3-point reverse bayonet coupling mechanism which provides easier mating when the connector is in an awkward position. Positive locking of the three stainless steel pins provides reliable resistance to vibration and shock, and prevents connector de-coupling in even the most rugged applications such as locomotives and mass-transit cars. The products conform to the VG95234 standard and are currently used throughout Europe on hundreds of ruggedized applications. All connectors in the series conform to French (NFF 61030) electrical standards, as well as EEC compliance directives for electromagnetical compatibility. EMI shield termination accessories are available for both overall as well as individual wire shields.
