Multiple Signal Type Aggregation to High Datarate Fiber Optics
Glenair signal aggregation media converters integrate a set of compact optoelectronic modules to digitize and/or aggregate multiple common signal types, and combine them onto high-data-rate serial optical fiber channels. These rugged, harsh-environment signal aggregators incorporate proven-performance military/aerospace grade connector interfaces, including Series 80 Mighty Mouse, Glenair High Density (GHD), and MIL-DTL-38999 Series III.
4-Channel RS422/RS485 and Discrete Lines Aggregation Media Converter
The Glenair 050-513 is a Media Converter that combines four RS422/RS485 channels and 2 discrete transmit and receive signals and serializes for transport over fiber. The media converter ordered to support either single mode or multi-mode fiber applications.
It is designed for harsh environments and incorporates electronics in an environmentally sealed enclosure that incorporates three 38999 environmental connectors. One connector for power, one for electrical signal and the third for fiber optic signals.
CTF Media Converter for Video (HD-SDI), RS422, 100/100/1000 & Discrete lines
The Glenair 050-518 is a Copper to Fiber Media Converter that has electrical interface that include one (1) RS422/RS485 channel, one (1) Ethernet 10/100BASE-TX channel and four (4) discrete transmit and receive signals. The electrical signals are multiplexed and serialized, then converted to fiber over a bidirectional fiber optic link. It also includes an electrical interface for one (1) HD-SDI Video Channel (optional) which is converted and sent over a single fiber. This is accomplished using a Glenair ruggedized PCB mount bidirectional electro-optical transceivers for the aggregated signal and Glenair SMPTE Electro-optical converters for the HD-SDI video signal.
