lenair has grown considerably over the past 40 years to include both
international and domestic U.S. product divisions, and an extensive network of independent sales representatives and distributors. In addition to the original interconnect hardware division in Glendale, the company now encompasses Airborne Controls (ABC), Microway Systems, Miles Roystone, and five international sales and engineering offices in England, Sweden, Germany, Italy, and France. We are the clear market leader in our core connector accessory business and we have built on that foundation by launching a dozen, additional product lines designed to meet our customers' every interconnect requirement: From specialty connectors to fiber optics, from conduit systems to Micro-D assemblies, from composite enclosures to assembly tooling - Glenair does it all. And in addition to the products we manufacture ourselves, we are also the distributor for a number of third party products, such as the Band-it tool line from Idex, shrink boots from Raychem, grounding connectors from Dubuis and crimping tools from Daniels Manufacturing, AMP and others.
A single supplier providing such a wide range of interconnect solutions is very unique in our industry. And it should come as no surprise that the organization of our diverse and far-flung enterprise is more complex than ever before. Take our Microway Systems division for example - which by the way, is now celebrating its one year anniversary as a member of the Glenair team. With the addition of termination and potting operations in Glendale, the TwistPin connectors born in Chicago are now processed and assembled in three different time zones and on two different continents.
With so many different people contributing to the success of our complete line of products, it is critical that everyone involved follow a single, consistent game plan for meeting the needs of the marketplace.
