y now, the clever ones amongst you have noticed the new format we're introducing in this quarter's issue of QwikConnect.  We think you'll agree the new design makes for easier reading and continues the journey "back" to our

new look which we began with the reintroduction of the original Glenair logo.  But more important than looks, this issue of QwikConnect shines a spotlight on a major development in the growth of the company, namely our new endeavor to grow the market for Glenair products in the marine industry.   By "taking Glenair to sea", we are continuing a planned pattern of expansion designed to leverage our current strengths in new product arenas and markets.  In short, our plan is to apply the same winning formula of quick turnaround, full-spectrum product lines, global market coverage, no "minimum order" policy, and unsurpassed factory capacity and technical support to an even wider range of interconnection product offerings and markets. 
     Clearly, we're ready to become the industry's "best-value" supplier of more than just circular connector accessories, and to aggressively drive the growth of fiber optics, conduit, specialty connectors and the rest of the products and services in the Glenair "line-card"  into new markets.  Look to the "new" QwikConnect for ongoing insights on keeping the Glenair juggernaut rolling out to sea and into other growth markets.
      This quarter's Spotlight features another "Series 9000" quality system article - this time on "Following the Glenair Game Plan."  Each of our guiding principles are worthy of study and attention, but this particular one encompasses much of the wisdom which has led to our current success in a very tough market.  No matter what your role is in the larger Glenair "family," please apply the tenets of this principle in all your business dealings.
     A milestone was reached this past year by Glenair International: our UK-based manufacturing and assembly division celebrated its 25th year in the interconnect industry.  Congratulations to all the employees and staff on a quarter century of customer service and business success.
    Finally, I'd like to express, on behalf of the entire company, our condolences to the Chadbourne family on their loss. Chad meant so much to so many at Glenair. He will be sorely missed.
