t's easy to see that Glenair is the "go to" company for high performance conduit systems - especially since we now make more kinds of convoluted tubing, metal-core conduit, shieldings and fittings than anyone else in the business. Given our leadership position, it is critical for everyone involved in the support of this full-spectrum product line to understand the basic performance properties of the raw materials used in conduit manufacturing. Ralph Hays, the product group's director, explains that "the first step in conduit system design is to identify the performance requirements of the wire enclosure, but the second step is to determine which conduit materials best match those requirements. While most engineers are well aware of their electrical system requirements, expert knowledge of conduit materials is something they look to Glenair to provide."
