| lenair is launching an advertising campaign to build increased awareness throughout the interconnect industry for our many business and market strengths. “Our first thought was to run some print ads in the trade journals,” explained Chris Toomey. “Then we said, ‘Hey, we know exactly who all our customers are, we FAX them quotes every day.’ It was then that we shifted gears and designed some simple text-based ads which could be used directly on RFQs and other outbound FAX communications. The purpose of the ads is pretty clear: we have some very solid advantages in today’s interconnect marketplace. We’re simply using the hundreds of RFQs we send out on a daily basis to remind our customers what those strengths are.” Glenair’s new ad campaign will hopefully serve to drive even more Glenair business to our sales representatives and distributors by focusing customer attention on our current and long term business strengths versus those of our competitors. Each advertisement highlights a very specific advantage Glenair brings to the marketplace such as fast turnaround, worldwide market coverage, unmatched technical support and so on. Glenair sales representatives can take advantage of the increased awareness of Glenair’s business strengths by leveraging the following messages in their customer calls:
