 articipants in the March follow-up sales meeting heard one message loud and clear: Glenair is far and away the leader in the manufacture and supply of electrical connector accessories, and we are poised to use the strengths and expertise gained in that market to become a major supplier of conduit, fiber optics, specialty connectors and composite products. The three-day event featured presentations from each of Glenair’s product-line managers, as well as factory tours, and business and marketing sessions. Mike McGuire, Director of Sales hosted the event, and, together with Chris Toomey, Executive Vice-President, provided the market analysis which tied the product information sections together. Mike and Chris stressed that each of the new product lines we are targeting for significant growth came about due to customer initiated requests - generally because the existing suppliers in these areas have not met the needs of the marketplace. If the current mix of suppliers are as weak on customer service as they appear, there is no reason why Glenair can’t apply its winning formula to win a lion’s share of the business for our “growth” products.
