| Moistureproof Data Cable Hummer Adapters |
 |
The Glenair Data Cable Hummer Adapter provides environmental protection, EMI shield grounding and strain relief for shielded data cables penetrating control and junction boxes in exposed environments. The hummer is typically used on weather decks, up masts, in fire control systems or in other applications where data cables must be routed through, or terminated in, control boxes located in harsh environments. The Glenair Hummer prevents rain, salt spray, corrosive fluids and electromagnetic interference from damaging critical wiring and control box terminations. The Glenair Hummer uses a unique candelabra thread endfitting which may be used to terminate both cable shielding or convoluted tubing. Each Hummer is supplied with an adhesive
shrink boot for combined environmental protection and cable strain relief.
